I have started teaching Akzentz gel system at Ecsalonce International Nail Academy at Goldhill plaza since March.
The course covers soak off gel (options gel) and hard gel (classic).
I am quite happy with my students who are very hard working. Gel Nail looks very easy to apply but actually not at all. The nail technicians must to be trained and have to understand how products work. Each brand has different distinctive features. They are really different. If you misuse them, gel does not last longer on your natural nails. It usually last more than 2 weeks if you properly apply the gel. If it does not last longer, either it is wrongly applied or the natural nail conditions do not fit the way being applied even if it is methodologically correct. In such a latter case, you have to change the way to apply. That is why the nail technicians are required to understand product knowledges and methdologies.
The other day, I just passed by one of nail salons and looked at its service menue. They had gel services in it. I asked a lady what gel brand they are using. Nobody in the salon knows what it was. I wonder how they give the gel nail services to the customers...
